Six goldfinch, the males very bright.   The riverbank is accessible once more after the disruptive work intended to make the salmon migration more successful and to restore the effects of last winter's atmospheric rivers.   The flock of young mergansers has almost grown up.  They were swimming along together, fishing happily.
